Well, not really. I made three polls, none of them working the way I wanted them to. The first one was fine, really, but for some reason, no one could vote in the next two. Why I'm not sure, because I made them the same exact way.
I think the Internet just hates me.
Anyway, all members have been able to post for a while now, but there's not really an influx of activity. However, there are tons of members. Well, not really. Sort of.
So, I'm just looking for feedback. Do you have any advice? What types of fics would you like to see more of? Do you want to help out in any way? What ships do you like? Where did you find out about Not Too Bad? If you can answer any of these questions, or want to just ramble away, please comment! I'd love to hear from you!
Title: A Journey of Love

Title: Coming Home
Author: your Belladonna
Ships: Harry/Ginny and some Ron/Hermione
Summary: It's been four years since Ginny has seen Harry. He's finally defeated Voldemort & he's coming home. But neither one of them know what to expect, whether they can have a relationship together or not. Anticipation builds as they get ready to see each other
Title: Anything's Possible
Genre: Romance, Humour, Angst
Ships: Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks - More of a "genfic" than anything, though.
Summary: Harry knows now what he has to do. He's the only one who can. Everyone helps him out with the fulfilment of the prophecy, but he recieves help from last person he would have ever expected. 'HBP SPOILERS.'
Title: Harry Potter and the Resurgence of the Order
Author: Sunny Christian
Rated: PG-13 for some strong violence
Summary: 1st fanfic from singer songwriter, Sunny Christian: Harry begins the hunt for the Horcruxes and uncovers his enemys' darkest secrets. He also meets a mysterious stranger and he will not emerge unscathed. Closest you'll get to Book 7 until the real thing! Worth reading because it's meticulously researched and well-written.
I have no time on my hands. So guess what! You can post now!
If you've already recced a fic on the comments and I never got around to reccing it, post away! But please, please, please, go back and reread the rules. They have been edited and you might have to redo your form.
When reccomending a story, make sure it's Harry Potter related, and from fanfiction.net.
Hope you guys have having a good 2007. Make sure you read the rules and FAQ here.
Onto the reccing!
Title: Unresentful Love
Author: The Red Haired One
Status: It doesn't say, but I'm thinking complete.
Summary: Some days, she resents him. Resents the life she is living, in favor of a different life, one where she wasn't the laughing stock of her friends.
Why you should read this: It's well-written. Oh, and it makes you like Fleur even more. She's a character that's rather easy to hate, but I feel that she really redeemed herself towards the end of book six, and this story makes her so easy to relate to.
Well, that's it for today. You should really rec some fics so we have more. =D
First off, Happy New Year.
Second off, I'm a tard. Thanks for not telling me.
Haha, no, it's fine. I fixed the last entry so there are links to the stories there. Haha. Ain't I a funny one?
Anyway, I hope you're all having a great 2007 so far.
Hello all! I hope you’re having a very nice holiday season. Here’s a new update for ya…
( But why wasn’t my fic recced?Collapse )
I’ve added an FAQ section to the profile, by the way.
Now, onto the reccing!
Title: Divination of Seventh Year
Ships: Ron/Hermione and some Harry/Ginny.
Summary: Harry, Ron, and Hermione set off on a mission to destroy the horcruxes and eventually Voldemort himself. Various POVs and a little RH and HG fluff. Please R&R! Chapter 7 is up!
Why you should read this: Quite honestly, I only read a part of Chapter One. However, I’m not going to completely disdain this piece. The writing isn’t superb…it’s good, but the dialogue isn’t written right. I couldn’t really get through it because I’m nit-picky like that, but I can see why many people, such as mollywobbles867 would enjoy it. It’s worth a shot and I’m glad a read the bit that I did…it was enjoyable enough! That goes to say—it’s definitely not the best fic on fanfiction.net, but it’s pretty good.
Title: How To Save A Life
Summary: Ron and Hermione have a 'discussion' about their relationship.Bit angsty and depressingSongfic based on the song How to Save a Life by the Fray
Why you should read this: There are errors—I’m not going to lie. But I like the song, and it’s an interesting take on the song. The story is also unique in the fact that Hermione ends up getting hurt, and that’s usually not typical in Ron/Hermione angst. Anyway—it’s a quick, easy, dialogue-based read, and certainly worth the time of anyone who doesn’t mind a bit of Ron/Hermione angst. Recced by hermyfan.
Title: Nymphadora Tonks and the Seven Deadly Sins
Summary: Nymphadora Tonks contemplates the seven deadly sins and how one particular werewolf is causing her to commit them. Now, if he only knew. RLNT. Set of seven drabbles.
Why you should read this: It’s cute, a bit fluffy, and rather funny. It has very good characterization, as well.
Now it’s your turn to do some reccing. First off, we have no slash so far. I suppose I could rec some, but honestly, I’m not huge on slash (although it doesn’t weird me out or anything), so I haven’t read much. Feel free to rec some of your own, and I’ll give it a try. And I’m sure the anti-herons out there are not too happy about all the Ron/Hermione stuff lying around. Well, rec your ship, then! ^-^
Again, I hope you’re having a great holiday season!
Here’s the second rec list.
( Was the fic you nominated not recced?Collapse )
Title: Eternal Sunshine of the Scourgified Mind
Author: Solstice Muse
Ships: To quote shygryf: “ginny/harry, ron/hermione mostly implied”
Summary: COMPLETEThe trio have defeated Voldemort but paid a devastating price. How can they cope without each other and without any magical memories?Nominated for Phoenix feather award.
Why you should read this: I’ve only read five and a half chapters so far, but I love it. The characterization is fantastic and the plotline is very interesting. Recced by shygryf.
Summary: Everyone has their own special quirks, their own idiosyncrasies. Katie Bell is a matchmaker. Oliver Wood is an observer. And Fred Weasley? Fred Weasley is an instigator.
Why you should read this: This fic is very well written and the characterization is great. It talks about some barely mentioned, although still fantastic characters. Plus it’s cute. And Katie/Oliver is very cute so I recommend you try it out someday. That, my friends, is all.
Rated: M (semi-smut)
Ships: Neville/Ginny (although it does seem rather one-sided)
Summary: [NevilleGinny] Neville does what he can for her.
Why you should read this: It’s a very heartbreaking piece. The characterization is very, very good. And I read it—and it’s sort of smuttish…and I’m not a huge smut fan.
Have a Merry Christmas!
Title: Courting Narcissa
Author: Llewellyn McEllis
Ships: Lucius/Narcissa is the biggy.
Summary: Lucius Malfoy tells the story of how and when he fell in love with beautiful Narcissa Black and the games he had to play to win her heart. Some fluff, all ego, total Malfoy!
Why you should read this: I never read much from this ship, and boy was I glad I read this one. It characterizes these two so well.
Title: New Deep
Chapters: 8 (7 of story, 1 is a note)
Status: It doesn't say, but I'm thinking it's complete.
Ships: Fred/Angelina is the biggy.
Summary: [FA] Six ways in which Angelina Johnson and Fred Weasely saved one another.
Why you should read this: There aren't enough good Fred/Angelina fics out there, and this one is a breathtaking insight into their relationship.
Title: Into Oblivion
Chapters: 15 so far
Ships: The big one is Ron/Hermione, although it also touches on Harry/Ginny and Neville/Parvati.
Summary: In the midst of war, the trio was separated for a month. Ron’s experience during that time makes it hard for him to reconnect with Hermione and when the war finally draws to a close, a devastating turn of events leaves Ron hopelessly lost.
Why you should read this: This story is not at all predictable nor fluffy. Yes, there is that bit of romance, but the plot is incredibly worthy of reading. The characterization is phenomenal and the characters are very easy to relate to.
